Home building is both a science and an art. While Quicksilver Custom Homes has refined the construction process to a science, it is the variables-individual creativity and subtle differences in natural construction products that make each home unique. Those variables, however, may also require special attention during the home-building process.
One of the greatest challenges in home building is to keep the construction schedule on track. A myriad of unforeseen factors, such as, labor shortages, material backorders, inclement weather and inspection requirements may cause delays, despite the best efforts of the home builder to move construction forward at a pre-determined pace.
We want to assure you that Quicksilver Homes is committed to building your home with minimal delays; however, because a number of factors are beyond our control, it is almost inevitable that challenges will occur at some point during the construction process. You can do your part to avoid delays by making and purchasing all selections, options, and upgrades within the established time frame. Doing so will greatly impact the progress of construction and minimize any inconvenience to you and your family.
To enhance your understanding of the home-building process we schedule several meetings with your sales representative and construction personnel. These meetings are designed to provide information to our homebuyers and are the perfect time to ask any questions you may have concerning the construction of your home.
A construction introduction will be scheduled with your sales representative and construction superintendent shortly after you sign your sales agreement. This meeting applies to pre-sales or homes that have not had the interior painted. The purpose of the meeting is to clarify the details of the construction process.
A pre-sheetrock walk-through will be the next scheduled meeting between you, your sales representative and your construction superintendent. This meeting will occur prior to sheetrock installation in your home. During this meeting, you, your sales representative and your construction superintendent will review any modifications to your home and verify that all changes have been completed as intended. This walk-through is NOT an opportunity to make additional changes to your home. Any pre-sheetrock changes must be processed prior to the start of construction.
The next meeting scheduled with your sales person and construction superintendent will occur when your home is nearing completion. However, you may ask your sales representative to schedule additional meetings, if necessary.
The buyer introduction is typically scheduled 7 -10 working days prior to closing (this may vary slightly on occasion). The purpose of this walk-through is to introduce you to the features of your home, explain Quicksilver’s customer service commitment and inspect the finish quality of your home. Please allow construction personnel the opportunity to completely finish all details prior to the occurrence of this meeting. During this introduction to your home, your sales representative and construction superintendent will note any concerns or questions and ensure their resolution prior to your next and final meeting.
The final walk-through will typically be scheduled 7 -10 working days after the buyer introduction, with closing usually occurring the following day. After the final walk-through, Quicksilver requires your authorization of an affidavit of acceptance for your home prior to closing. YOUR HOME MUST BE TOTALLY COMPLETE AND ALL BUYER INTRODUCTION ITEMS RESOLVED TO YOUR SATISFACTION PRIOR TO CLOSING OR CLOSING WILL BE DELAYED.
